Southeast Pretoria

This is a region of Pretoria that lies in the southeast quarter of the city and to the east of the N1 highway that runs through the city from Zimbabwe to Cape Town. It is a more modern part of the city that is still growing but still offers some vast expanses of green belt. In the extreme south of the region is the Rietvlei Dam Nature Reserve, which houses a popular yacht club. Projecting into the region from the south is the Wingate Park Country Club, and moving to the northeast the Kimiad Country Club and the Woodhill Golfing Estate. Golfing is just one of the many sports offered in the region, where you’ll also find tennis, cricket and a number of gymnasiums.

Pretoria has an excellent infrastructure, although major hospitals lie to the north of this particular region, but there is a medical centre in Constantia Park. However there are plenty of good schools to be found in the region, including the Hatfield Christian College. There are both small and large shopping centres throughout the region. This is a region of Pretoria that holds many newer and larger properties, many of which command huge rentals. However there is a good cross section of homes of all types. Some of the newer areas have been planned to house new developments of cluster homes, town houses and large free standing houses.
