Pretoria Central

The eastern side of Pretoria’s central area can rightly be called a diplomatic area, for it is in the suburbs of Arcadia, Hatfield, Brooklyn and Groenkloof that you will find the majority of the diplomatic and trade missions in that have representatives in South Africa. But these suburbs, along with Sunnyside, have huge wide open spaces that house sports fields and stadia, parks, country clubs, golf courses and recreation areas. In the northern section of the region lie the Union Buildings, administrative centre of the South African Government since their completion in 1913. This part of Pretoria offers investors a wide range of outstanding properties, ranging from magnificent diplomatic residences to small apartments. .

The infrastructure in this part of the city could not be better. The western part of the region has many medical facilities. The suburbs are home to some of the best schools in the country as well as the University of Pretoria and Unisa, and some first-class shopping malls can be found in the area. Pretoria has excellent road links with the rest of South Africa and the newly opened Gautrain offers a much faster link to Johannesburg and her international airport. Since independence Pretoria has shed her drab past and donned the clothes of the Rainbow Nation of which she is the administrative capital. This is now a trendy cosmopolitan city that is well worth investing in.
