CenturionCenturion is a pleasant garden city located midway between the Pretoria, administrative capitol of South Africa, and the golden city of Johannesburg. Centurion is a well planned city that has a dynamic business centre with industrial parks and wide open spaces just asking for development. The city’s central business district is built around an artificial lake with open-air restaurants alongside office blocks. There is a wide selection of property of all types in the city, and you’ll find some excellent bargains in suburbs such as Valhalla, Clubview, Eldo Glen, Eldoraigne, Weirdapark, Rooihuiskraal, The Reeds and Henopspark. These include town houses and cluster homes, free-standing houses both large and small, and apartments. Centurion lies in the ecological zone known as Bakenveld, with scattered woody plants and grasses. The Hennops River passes through the centre of the city, its banks dotted with River Bushwillow, White Stinkwood and Sweet Thorn. A hiking trail alongside the river, as it meanders through the Zwartkop Nature Reserve, offers a first-rate opportunity to view a large number of bird species, and the area’s wetlands are home to the Giant African Bullfrog, a protected species. Zwartkop Airport, which houses the South African Air Force Museum, is located in the northern part of Centurion. As well as the city’s four private schools, Centurion offers seven high schools and fifteen primary schools. People investing in property in Centurion will find an excellent infrastructure. Shoppers are well catered for with four excellent shopping malls, and there are bars and restaurants, hospitals, entertainment and sporting facilities all within easy reach of the city centre. Also within a close distance are the Supersport Park cricket ground and the Zwartkops motor racing track. |
